A larger size and lavishly illustrated ‘coffee’ style book that focuses on the Arts & Crafts period furniture made for and housed in The Grove Park Inn. This collection is the largest public display of furniture in the style that originated in the designs of Gustav Stickley. The books outlines the history of the movement, the Grove Park Inn and the Roycroft Furniture Shop and other artisans involved. It’s an interesting read well illustrated with historical and present day photos. In one 44 page section eleven furniture items are separately featured along with measured (imperial) drawings for each. If you like this style you will enjoy reading about its history and be inspired by the illustrations.
