Australian Wood Review commenced publication in 1992 and was initially a bi-annual magazine. The first issue was published as ‘Australian Wood Magazine’ but the name changed thereafter. Because of its widely acclaimed content AWR has maintained a reputation as a highly collectible publication.

With its stories on every aspect of woodworking AWR is a technical resource. Articles on tree species and timber technology, as well as profiles of makers and exhibition reviews make AWR a valued reference and even historical publication. Issue 1–20, published between 1992 and 1998 present a diverse range of articles, most of which continue to retain relevance and currency.
