Although beautifully crafted conventional forms are not ignored, equally inspirational are the unusual and outlandish creations shown. Australian makers are well represented (Andrew Potocnik, Jack de Vos, Neil Turner to name a few), with a typically sensuous cedar creation by Grant Vaughan gracing the cover. A few of the photos in 500 Wood Bowls are not great quality but most are excellent and bound to get you creating outside the circle.
